Get Involved
It is important to the IIA that you make the most out of your membership so here are some suggestions as to how you can get involved:- Attend to your CPE requirements
- Go to members meetings and get connected
- Ensure you remember your member log-in to the websites so you don’t miss out
- Read the e-newsletters to ensure you’re maximising opportunities
- Bookmark the electronic IPPF so the Standards and other resources are at your fingertips
- Enrol into a certification program and build your credentials
- Attend a short course to refresh your skills
- Visit the Technical Resources section of the website so you know what’s there when you need it
- Plan to attend a conference
- Read Internal Auditor magazine and stay knowledgeable
- Check your email for invitations to special events
If you’d like to contribute more:
- Get to know your Chapter Council
- Express interest in Council or Board nominations
- Comment on draft documents when they’re circulated to members
- Write and submit questions for the certification exams
- Become a course facilitator
- Participate in international committees
- Contribute an article to Internal Auditor magazine
There are many ways being a member of the IIA can benefit you, and there are many ways you can contribute to the Institute. Together we are the voice of the profession.
