Colin is an engineering graduate with an MBA, both from Monash University. He has worked for BHP Billiton for 8 years after 19 years with BP and 12 years in Occupational Health and Safety consultancy.
He was involved in the development of the Global Reporting Initiative in the late 1990’s and has just under 20 years’ experience with Sustainability Reporting in large global organisations.
He maintains a focus on practical solutions to managing risk. In BHP Billiton he leads the delivery of Operational internal assurance. He is also responsible for developing the group risk management framework including setting standards (Group Level Documents) and reporting to senior management and the Board. He returned to Australia in 2008 to commence with BHP Billiton after working 7 of the preceding 12 years in the UK. CPE Points:
