Kumar Srinivasan is an experienced governance, risk and compliance professional with extensive expertise in enterprise, operational, project/program, and portfolio risk management, compliance, and governance. He has more than two decades of experience in the consulting, utilities, infrastructure, government, and higher education industries. Kumar is currently the Director of Risk & Insurance at UTS. He was the Chief Risk Officer at Transport for NSW (Sydney Metro) and held senior risk and project management positions at Transport for NSW, Sydney Water and AECOM.
Kumar holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from India and a master’s degree in engineering and management from UTS. Kumar is the Chair of Audit & Risk Committee and a Board Director of ActivateUTS.
He is the Chair of the NSW Chapter of the Engineers Australia – Risk Engineering Society and the NSW Chapter Councillor of the Institute of Internal Auditors Australia and Risk Management Institute of Australia. Additionally, Kumar is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Engineers Australia.
Kumar has been instrumental in bringing about change and ensuring that companies can successfully navigate uncertainty while achieving their strategic objectives. He desires to be known as a trustworthy agent of change and is a compassionate and influential leader. He inspires and motivates company managers and teams to provide value to end users via risk management and assurance. Kumar has developed corporate risk and business resilience frameworks that are suitable for purpose and define ownership and governance in a clear manner.
