Stephen has over 20 years’ experience leading assurance and advisory teams in both a private and public-sector context. He was previously a partner in a global professional services firm and has held senior roles in advisory and consulting services, technology risk consulting, and assurance services.
Stephen has significant IT assurance & advisory experience specialising in information technology governance, and risk and control; and has been involved in major IT advisory, security and forensic projects globally. He was a Vice-Chair of the Global IT Guidance Committee of the Institute of Internal Auditors, authoring “strongly recommended” IT audit guidance for the profession worldwide. He is currently a member of the International Internal Audit Standards Board (IIASB).
Stephen actively volunteers to grow the profession and is a Past President of IIA-Australia and is currently the President of the Asian Confederation of the Institutes of Internal Auditors.
