2018 Audit and Risk Committee Forum

The Audit and Risk Committee Forum a joint initiative between IIA-Australia and the Australian Institute of Company Directors is specially designed for Audit and Risk Committee members to address strategic issues that are shaping the operating environment of organisations today and to gain insights to effectively manage the associated risks of business.

KEY ISSUES TO BE COVERED INCLUDE:

• Understanding why cyber security should be a priority for Audit and Risk Committees
• Disruption risk – What’s on the minds of the Audit and Risk Committee
• Data protection and cyber security: playing by the new rule book the in digital age
• The Global Economy, Geopolitics and Risk

The program will be structured with a mix of high level keynote sessions (which are part of the SOPAC 2018 program and closed door break-out sessions to get down to the practicalities on addressing key issues on the role of  Audit and Risk Committees. To enable practical takeaways from the forum, the sessions will be presented by the profession for the profession – featuring Company Directors, Audit Committee Chairs, Audit and Risk Committee Members and Regulators.

To permit discussion and knowledge sharing on practical approaches that the internal audit and risk functions and Audit and Risk Committee members can employ to effectively manage risk, numbers to the forum will be strictly limited.
