Internal auditors analysing large
data sets, and using advanced analytics, with open source
tools.
This is a case study, from a recent Internal Audit
assignment, outlining how we conducted a full population analytics exercise,
across multiple sets of data, ultimately covering ~800 million records
(including free text). As part of the work, advanced analytics techniques were
employed – to help solve a specific problem. The case study outlines how all of
this was conducted successfully using an open source tool.
