RMIA and IIA-Australia Joint Members Meeting
Mitigating fraud and corruption risk

Join both the IIA and the RMIA for a presentation from Roger Darvall-Stevens an experienced practitioner in the field conducting investigations, providing fraud and corruption control advice to the public and private sectors for 30 years. Roger will provide insights from global better practice from attending a recent global fraud conference as well as:

  • Facing the challenge of outsmarting the modern-day fraudsters (keep up to date!)
  • Fraud and corruption control and culture
  • Fraud and corruption control frameworks (within a governance and integrity context), controls, effectiveness, and improvement opportunities
  • Working with initial responses to / from police / corruption commissions (if government) / regulatory bodies and internally when a fraud / corruption issue occurs
  • How to deal with collection of data and preservation of evidence in a fraud / corruption investigation

Roger Darvall-Stevens - Partner - Melbourne
Roger is a Director and National Head of Fraud & Forensic Services and has over 25 years of experience in forensic investigations and forensic accounting, fraud, bribery and corruption control, related training, forensic IT, compliance (including foreign bribery and corruption risk), and corporate security. 

Prior to RSM, Roger was a partner in forensics for a ‘Big 4’ firm where he had been for 13 years, and initially commenced his career in the police force leaving as a detective after 12 years.
