Topic: Digital Trust
We are in the midst of a period of immense change in the way we live, work
and interact with one another. This has been dubbed the ‘Fourth Industrial
Revolution’ or Industry 4.0 by the World Economic Forum. We are seeing
transformational changes in technology across all industries, whilst at the same
time the levels of trust in public and private institutions are at an all-time
low. Getting the balance right between ‘data as an asset’ and ‘data as a risk’
can give businesses a competitive edge and promote growth. But getting it wrong
could lead to long-term reputational damage, loss of brand equity and
stakeholder mistrust. In this session we’ll explore these risks and ways of
instilling trust in the digital technologies deployed.
