NSW Members Meeting - 25.02.2020

Topic: Becoming Climate-competent

Climate change is a multidimensional challenge, with impacts that are erratic in nature and difficult to predict.  A range of industries are vulnerable to these effects and their ability to continuously adapt to a changing environment is becoming imperative to long term stability.

With knowledge and expertise from climate change professionals, Internal Audit can play a key role in assisting organisations to understand climate change risks. An internal audit review allows for the identification, rating, and prioritisation of risks which can lead to the development of resilient strategies to combat future changes.

Our presenters will explore the evolving role of Internal Audit specifically in relation to climate change risk analysis. As climate change impacts become more prevalent, Internal Audit has a large role to play in enticing organisational change.
