Root Cause Analysis - Online Classroom

Root Cause Analysis (RCA) identifies and analyses the hidden causes of problems and provides the tools needed to determine what can be done to prevent them from reoccurring. RCA illustrates how to drill down to the root cause of problems and implement solutions to the cause rather than the symptom, preventing ongoing occurrence and associated costs. 

This one-day course explains the RCA process and how to use it effectively to achieve real benefits to organisations. Implementing expert RCA training can potentially save millions in costly organisational issues and avoid loss of reputation.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the training course, the participant will be able to:

  • Explain the Root Cause Analysis approach 
  • Investigate the problem and quantify the risk and impact 
  • Analyse the root cause of the problem related to processes, systems, and organisational causes
  • Utilise graphical tools to analyse and illustrate the root of the problem, including the 5 Whys, Ishikawa Diagrams, Pareto Charts, Cause and Effect Diagrams and Tree Diagrams 
  • Help you to identify solutions and preventative measures 
  • Provide you with the skills to develop a root cause analysis report using a word template

Chris Puschak has held leading roles in the delivery of projects including company mergers, outsourcing, major ICT replacement activities and business re-engineering. Since 2001 he has worked in the audit, risk, and compliance fields within government business enterprises or as a consultant to government, and he is well respected for his insight, forthright nature, can do attitude, and consultative approach.

Chris is well known for his stakeholder relationship skills, which resulted in a significant improvement in regulator relationships for both Medibank and Air services during his roles in the assurance and risk teams. He has held senior roles and provided strategic direction and insight to senior executives across the ACT and Commonwealth Governments and private industry for the past 20 years.

 

Online Classroom:    This one-day training program will be delivered in two 3 hour lessons (9:30am - 12:30pm AEST) on 5, 6 April using Zoom.

Registrations will be strictly limited to 12 participants to allow maximium interaction in the online environment.
