Join IIA-Australia for a National Members' Meeting with Rich Turley on
Internal Audits Role in Sustainability.
Sustainability is increasingly becoming a core value driver for many
businesses and organsiations globally. The recent COP26 meeting accelerated
changes that have already been happening over the past few years and there is
likely to be an increasing focus on sustainability and environmental social
governance (ESG) from customers investors and regulators in Australia,
particularly for those organisations exposed to a global market. This will be an
interactive session that explores the different definitions of ESG, recent
market trends both in Australia and globally that are influencing stakeholders
expectations, what a sustainability program can look like and the role of
internal audit in supporting management in evaluation and evolving ESG practice.

Rich is a Director at Protiviti with over 20 years’ experience, including
external and internal audit, project assurance and risk and compliance
management. Rich’s current client’s range across the financial services,
government and the corporate space. He has extensive experience in the
provision of co-sourced and outsourced internal audits across a number of
industries and takes a lead for Protiviti Australia on the provision of internal
audit and advisory support for ESG, connecting with Protiviti’s Global ESG
program.
