The program for the Western Australia Internal Audit Conference 2019 has been released. 

The opening keynote address will be presented by Michael Court, Deputy Under Treasurer, Department of Treasury Western Australia. The program will equip attendees with insights, strategies and tools to assist their organisations in embracing change.

Thursday 12 September will host a series of high-level sessions to provide broad insights and directions in the sector, along with some technical risk and audit presentations. Key topics to be addressed include:

  • Impacts of the digital economy
  • Why climate change matters to business
  • Project and program assurance
  • Modern Slavery legislation
  • Health and wellness risk
  • The importance of customer experience
  • Integrated assurance - Risk and audit working together
  • Culture and governance
  • Diversity of thought - Thinking outside the box

Separate workshops will be held on Friday 13 September and are also open for registrations. This year’s workshops are:

  •  WS1 - Leveraging Data Analytics to improve decision making
  • WS2 - Assurance Mapping
