The Bob McDonald Award

Named after the first Australian to hold the position of International Chairman of IIA Global, the Bob McDonald Award recognises an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to internal audit in Australia, to the IIA, or to the theory and practice of internal audit.

Past recipients have been pioneers, exceptional leaders, advocates and champions whose work and ethics have elevated the profession.

Internal Auditor of the Year Award

This award recognises an individual’s contribution as an internal auditor to their organisation’s performance through the delivery of a major strategic outcome while upholding the Standards.

Emerging Internal Audit Leader Award

The Emerging Internal Audit Leader Award recognises superior and progressive contributions by an individual to their organisation and/or the internal audit profession. Recipients demonstrate enthusiasm for governance and risk assurance while bringing innovation and new perspectives to the profession.

Internal Audit Team of the Year Award

The Internal Audit Team of the Year Award recognises an internal audit function or team that excels in the provision of internal audit services to its organisation and contributes to the advancement of the profession.

Champion of the Year Award

Our volunteers give their time and energy to offer valuable support to their peers and the profession. The Champion of the Year Award recognises members for meritorious service and contribution to IIA-Australia.

IIA-Australia Life Member

The Life Member Award recognises a person who has made a lifelong commitment to IIA-Australia and to the professional practice of internal auditing or a relevant professional discipline.

Life Members are among the people who have helped advance the profession to where it is today.

IIA-Australia Graduate Certificate in Internal Auditing Merit Award

This award recognises the student who achieved the highest performance in the Graduate Certificate in Internal Auditing during an academic year.

The merit award is judged solely on academic performance and is presented at SOPAC®.
