Thank you for taking the time to nominate an outstanding member for the IIA-Australia Champion of the Year Award 2026.

The award recognises a member who has made a significant contribution to IIA-Australia through volunteering, meritorious service and support for members and the profession.

To complete the form, you will need:

  • Your contact details.
  • The nominee’s contact and IIA-Australia membership details.
  • Details of the nominee’s volunteer service and contribution to IIA-Australia, its members and the profession.
  • A nomination statement of up to 750 words.
  • The contact details of an eligible seconder.

About the award

People who give their time and energy to help the profession and others in the profession are the lifeblood of IIA. The Champion of the Year Award recognises meritorious service and contributions to IIA-Australia membership.

Nomination requirements

Eligibility

The nominee must
  • Be an IIA-Australia member.
  • Be financial and in good professional standing.
  • Have made a significant contribution to IIA-Australia through volunteering.
Who is not eligible?
  • Members of the IIA Global or IIA-Australia Boards and Committees at the time of nomination or judging.
  • Any person who has directly or indirectly received payment for work performed for IIA-Australia in the 12 months before nomination.
Recognition and achievement

Recognition and prize

Award recipients receive
  • A citation and engraved plaque.
  • Public recognition across IIA-Australia media.
SOPAC® recognition
  • One complimentary ticket to SOPAC® 2027.
  • One night’s accommodation, subject to the capped value and the Awards Terms and Conditions.

The Board reviews the recommendations of the Nominations Committee. Information provided in the nomination may be verified during the assessment process.
