One
by Preston Warren
Presten Warren is an Indigenous artist living in Port Lincoln, South Australia. who was born in Port Augusta and grew up in Ceduna; and he is a proud Wirangu/Dieri/Kokatha/Mirning/Arabana man. In his words, he is a descendant of the desert and ocean tribes of Australia. He is a country boy, with country blood and country in his soul.
One is his artwork. It "symbolises the unity required to build a harmonious community. It emphasises the incredible potential that emerges when we collaborate as a collective. Together, we can create a brighter future for our world."
IIA-Australia is proudly Australian and proudly part of the IIA community globally. For us, One perfectly represents this connection of professional communities, working together to elevate the impact we have and creating a better future for our world.
We thank Preston for allowing us to share his work with you.
We acknowledge the Gadigal of the Eora Nation as the Traditional Custodians of this place we now call Sydney, and where IIA-Australia is based. We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia, where our members reside. We acknowledge their continuing connection to land, waters, and community. And we pay our respects to Elders past and present.
