Topical Requirements are a new, mandatory component of the International Professional Practices Framework. Depending on the results of the internal audit function’s risk assessment, internal auditors must apply Topical Requirements in conformance with the Global Internal Audit Standards ™ (GIAS) when providing assurance services on the topic.

Presenter: Hayley Elson PFIIA, Technical Manager, The Institute of Internal Auditors-Australia
Hayley is an experienced internal auditor and currently the Technical Manager of the Institute of Internal Auditors. She is also an independent member of an Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee for a NSW council. Hayley is a qualified Chartered Accountant (Risk Specialist) and a Professional Fellow of the Institute of Internal Auditors – Australia. Her prior experience includes risk management and internal audit roles held in a large not-for-profit (as Chief Audit Executive), internal audit at an ASX listed entity and also financial auditing.
