Nominations are now open for the 2025 IIA-Australia’s Excellence and Achievement Awards, recognising the individuals and teams driving excellence, innovation and integrity across the internal audit profession.  
 
These prestigious national awards celebrate members who demonstrate outstanding leadership, strategic impact and service to the profession. Whether through innovative audit practices, meaningful contributions to the Institute, or strengthening governance and performance in their organisations, these awards highlight the best of internal audit in Australia.  


Award categories span both individual and team achievements, including rising stars, audit leaders and high-performing teams delivering value across the public and private sectors. Winners will be formally announced at SOPAC® 2026, IIA-Australia’s flagship national audit conference.

The Bob McDonald Award   
IIA-Australia’s highest honour, recognising sustained leadership and advocacy for good governance.

How to Nominate

To nominate a worthy candidate, please complete the official award nomination form for each category, accessible via the Awards section of the IIA-Australia website.  

Your nomination should include: 

  • A concise overview of the nominee’s key achievements and professional contributions 

  • Clear alignment with the relevant award criteria 

  • Relevant examples and supporting materials or endorsements, where applicable
