Our Services

Our services assist in the advancement of the profession and practice of internal auditing through membership services, education, professional development, technical resources and advocacy.

Education

Built on a globally aligned competency framework, the Graduate Certificate in Internal Auditing ensures graduates have the skills to practice as a professional internal auditor. We also offer the internationally recognised global CIA program.

Membership

Membership with IIA-Australia valuable knowledge resources and networking opportunities.

Quality Assurance

Our quality assurance programs include facilitated self-assessments and external quality assessments assisting our members to achieve conformity to the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) – the only standards that are applicable to internal audit.

Learning and Development

Our learning and development team offer public and in-house training programs, webinars, events and conferences for personal improvement and to assist IA professionals to meet their Continuing Professional Education requirements.

Sponsorship

Our sponsorship programs offer members the opportunity to showcase products and services relevant to the Internal Audit profession.

Technical

Our world class Technical Service assists Members and Chief Audit Executives to keep ahead of the pack, research leading and emerging practices, solve problems and keep up-to-date with what’s happening with internal audit and related topics in Australia and internationally.

Policy and Advocacy

The policy agenda comprises fundamental objectives of the Internal Audit community. It supports an energetic, proactive and effective advocacy role with a sharp focus on representing member interests and advancing the profession. As the voice of the audit and assurance community, it aims to influence stakeholders, regulatory, compliance bodies and legislative authorities. The Institute is committed to maintaining this significant contribution to the public, private and not for profit sectors.

Volunteering

The Institute of Internal Auditors – Australia and IIA Global have a number of volunteering opportunities for members including:

Factsheets or white papers – We welcome authors, so if you have an idea for a Factsheet and White Paper, you are welcome to contact [email protected] to obtain more information. Before publication the material is peer reviewed and edited by expert practitioners. View current factsheets and white papers.

Mentoring – Our Chapter Councils coordinate a mentoring programs.

Leadership roles – Positions on the Board, Board Committees and Chapter Councils are reviewed annually.

Presenting – Chapter Council member meetings provide a great opportunity to present to an interested audience on topics relevant to the internal auditing profession. Explore your idea/s with your Chapter Chair or email [email protected].
